Landscapes with Fuji X100

The Fuji X100 has been my choice of camera for the past week.I just wanted a small all-day camera with me, and the X100 is exactly what I needed. I did some quick landscape images, mostly images of fields (and the classic lone tree on field subject !!)

I used the polarizer in most images. I really find it difficult to see the effects of the polarizer filter on the screen of the X100 (both EVF and LCD), while on my Sony NEX 5N, the polarizing effect seems instantly at the live view. Anyway, I once again shot RAW since the scenes were very contrasty. An exposure of compensation of -1 stop, ensured that highlights were intact. Shadows are easily brightened when shooting RAW. Image quality, as always, is great, the X100 is capable of producing fantastic photos.

Enjoy the rest of the images.

Very nice images Konstantinos! I’m currently exploring my options as far as compact digital cameras go (I currently own only film cameras) and the X100 is high on my list. It certainly is good enough quality wise so I can skip the new (and much for expensive) X100S for now.

I’d kill for your skies! Landscape is pretty nice to. Of course this only matters in the hands of a skilled photographer like you.

Thank you Angus. It’s fall, and clouds appear more often. I really wish I had the time to taker images during the golden hour, since most of my photos these days are taken under the noon’s harsh light.
