Early morning city images

From time to time I enjoy talking an early morning walk around the city. Especially when I visit other cities, its a chance for me to take a walk and have a coffee before it gets crowded. A camera is always a good companion during these walks.

I used the Plaubel Makina 67 with Kodak TRI-X 400 film pushed at 1600 ISO (I had set ISO to 1600 for a couple of night shots I did, so I also used this ISO setting during day). An orange filter was placed on the lens to add contrast.

Having only 8 shots available was kind of a relief, I had the chance to enjoy my walk before my coffee and take only a few worth taking images. The Plaubel is an excellent street camera and the high ISO allowed me to use small apertures to have a greater DoF.

I expected grain to be large since I pushed TRI-X by two stops, but it was pretty good and I can easily make a good large print from any of the photos. Development was done with Ilford DD-X, a perfect developer for pushing film.

Enjoy the rest of the images.
