Images with Leica Elmar 135mm f/4

The Leica Elmar 135mm f/4 is a lens that has seen the most use mounted on the Sony NEX 5N. Its focus peaking system makes it easy to focus and the very good LCD allows you to check if you focused correctly.

On the Leica M8, I haven’t been able to get consistent results, so its a lens I avoid using. But on film, its a different story. Probably the way film renders an image or the framelines of the M7 make it easier for me to get focused images most of the times (always with the help of the 1.4x magnifier).

Next time I will try shooting some portraits with the M7/Elmar 135 combo and see what results I can get.
