Digital process

I shot a few more IR images during the weekend, including an old retired fighter jet that is placed on a pole at a small park. I have shot at this location many times, but this time I decided to add some digital manipulation which shows the plane hovering over the ground.

With today’s software, it’s becoming extremely easy to create these kind of effects, the content-aware tools (among others), are allowing for serious digital manipulation of images. I rarely mess with my photos in this way, although I appreciate the abilities of modern photo software. Actually, the content aware function has been very useful in eliminating dust and scratches from my black and white scanned images (ICE does not work in b&w film). This was a fun experiment, and I may be repeat it at the future.
