This is my second testing go the very useful in camera time-lapse feature of the Nikon D800E. This time I did some night shooting which came out pretty interesting due to the moving clouds around the moon, and the light trails of the cars crossing a forest road.
As with my first attempt, there was no need to do any post process in Final Cut, the video came as I wanted to straight out go the camera.
I chose 7 seconds intervals and settings on camera were:
Exposure: 3.5 seconds
Total shooting time: 60 minutes.
The lens I used was the Nikon 24mm f/2.8, I feel much more convenient with prime lenses. The D800E with the 24mm or 50mm is a really portable camera , and although not as light and small as a Leica or Sony NEX, there’s a huge difference from carrying it with a zoom lens.
Enjoy the video
