A photo of the moon for today’s post. Full moon is approaching, but unfortunately weather forecast for my location predicts cloudy weather for the following days, so I don’t know if I will get the chance to make some photos.
For this image, I used the Sony NEX 5N with the Sony SEL 55-210 lens. Of course, the 300mm equivalent focal length was not enough to make a detailed capture.
The above image is a heavy crop of the original 16mp image which left about 0.5 megapixel image, just enough for web publishing. Now, the Nikon D800E may have 36mp but my longest focal length is 135mm. I am not good in calculations, so I will try tonight to take some more images of the moon with the D800E/135mm combo, crop and see for myself if I can get some better detail.
