The Nikon D800E has arrived, after a long wait. I am trying to to find some time to shoot some good images, in order to see how the 36 megapixels and vast dynamic range can do a difference from my medium format film images.
I have also loaded some film to the Fuji GSW690iii and Plaubel Makina 67, in order to make a first comparison with the D800E.
In the meantime, here’s my first published image shot with the D800E and the Nikkor 24-70 f2/2.8 lens. It’s a 30 seconds long exposure (using the B+W ND110 filter), at f7.1 and base ISO. I am a little concerned about the magenta cast on a part of the waterfall, but I’ll do some more long exposures and see how they look.
