Sony NEX 5 with Leica Tele-Elmarit 90mm f2.8

One more legacy lens mounted on the Sony NEX 5. This time the Leica Tele-Elmarit 90mm f2.8, a great lens with very small size for a 90mm. The fact that it’s small fits perfectly the tiny body of the NEX.
I have used the Tele-Elmarit extensively with the Leica M8. The biggest concern is to achieve precise focus which some times is difficult even with the 1.4x magnifier. On the NEX, the live preview combined with the peaking system makes it more easy to focus while at the same time you get to see the depth of field live on the screen. Due to the 1.5x crop factor, the 90mm becomes a 135mm lens which is great for portraits, and of course is a fast telephoto lens.

All images below were shot with the NEX 5 / Tele-Elmarit 90mm combo.
